the litquake/greenhouse effect! big news, and submissions due…

We could not be more thrilled to announce that The Greenhouse Effect, our three-show summer reading series with The San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers that just culminated in a triumphant Litquake show, is now officially an annual event! Heartfelt thanks first to Morgan Davis at the COF for her vision, cooperation, and all of her hard work in making this a truly wonderful experience and one we can look forward to next year.

You can catch up on the first show here, the second show here, and watch videos of our most recent show here.

We would also like to thank—with enthusiasm—Jonathan Siegel and everyone at Viracocha for helping with decorations for our last show; the experience truly would not have been the same without them.

See for yourselves, thanks to Julie Michelle. The slideshow below contains photos from the event and then some from our next venue (the latter taken by Evan Karp).

Our next show will be on Monday, November 7 at Chez Poulet (@ Cesar Chavez + Mission). This will be quite the change from the Conservatory… home of Radio Valencia, Chicken John, and other greatnesses. We’ll be pouring free wine, for one thing. Check out a recent photo-shoot to give you an idea:

Submissions for the show—both writing and art—are due by the end of Wednesday, October 19th. We look forward to another great batch of readings… thanks in advance!
