Quiet Lightning is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. 100% of all donations are tax-deductible and go directly to Bay Area artists, community partners and independently-owned businesses.
Since 2009 we have presented 1,835 readings by 1,006 authors in 155 shows, 122 publications and 98 venues – from dive bars and art galleries to state parks and national landmarks – selected through a blind submission process by 77 different curators. The shows are free and everyone involved in making the shows is paid. Read more about what we do here.
